Open the lid of the water tank (5). Pour the desired amount of water into the water tank. Make sure not to overfill by filling maximum 12 cups of water (do not exceed the “MAX” indication on the water tank). The number of cups can be read from the water level indicator (6). Use a paper filter if you want to make more than 10 cups of coffee, as the fine pores of the permanent filter only allow the coffee to pass through slowly and using too much coffee powder might make it run over....
